Pack Your Toothbrush
The list of items to bring on your trip can be long. Just don’t forget that toothbrush! If by chance you do, you can rinse vigorously with mouthwash or water until you get to the nearest drugstore to buy a toothbrush.
It’s important to keep your toothbrush dry to keep it clean. A moist toothbrush can breed bacteria. On vacation try to transport your toothbrush in a resealable plastic bag, and once unpacking open it up to allow it to be exposed to dry air. This way your toothbrush stays dry, clean and away from other items in your suitcase or toiletry bag.
If you are in a country where the water supply is compromised – or you’re on a wilderness adventure, but aren’t sure how clean the stream is – always use bottled water to brush. In addition, be sure to hydrate yourself as much as possible!
Get Back On Track
If you just got back from your summer vacation, it’s time to get back on track! Maybe you let flossing or brushing slide – but bring your routine back to the basics. Brush twice daily for two minutes and floss daily. Don’t forget to check-in with your dentist too.
